Just To Think Of The Cross

Sunday's message was all about the fact that Jesus died on the cross as our substitute. It is hard to imagine the kind of love that moved him to die for us. The words of this song by Kurt Kaiser and Ralph Carmichael says it all.

Just To Think Of The Cross

Long, long ago in a faraway place, rough rugged timbers were raised to the sky

There hung a man suspended in space

And though He was blameless they left Him to die

Just to think of the cross, moves me now

The nails in His hands, His bleeding brow

To think of the cross, moves me now

It should have been me, it should have been me

Instead I am free, I am free

Dealing With Anger

A hot-tempered man . . . gets into all kinds of trouble. (Proverbs 29:22 - LB)

Hot tempers cause all kinds of arguments . . . (Proverbs 15:18 - GNB)

. . . anger causes mistakes (Proverbs 14:29- LB)

People with hot tempers do foolish things . . . (Proverbs 14:17- GNB)

The fool who provokes his family to anger and resentment
will finally have nothing worthwhile left. (Proverbs 11:29 - LB)

It is no accident that the heart of the word "DANGER" is "ANGER". If we do not deal with our anger, it will endanger us and bring devastating results in our lives!

Dinner With Byron Williams

We had a great dinner with former NFL player Byron Williams. Byron gave a great challenge to the men of LifePointe about stepping up and living for God. His life verse is Romans 8:31 - "If God is for us who can be against us." What a testimony of God's grace.
